A Good Place to Start

We live in the midst of constant change, desire and dissatisfaction. Buddhism teaches us to be who we are, rather then who we should be.  It teaches us to open our hearts and minds to every aspect of life - the good, the bad, the exciting, and the mundane as an opportunity for learning and to work with reality as it is. This process enables us to be free from the stories and drama that often control our lives.  Buddhism does not offer a quick and easy fix for all of life’s problems, but it does open a gateway for us to see things more clearly and to work with our life events.

We invite you to discover and cultivate the wisdom of Buddha with your dharma sisters and brothers. We seek to develop camaraderie and friendship in the true meaning of Sangha. We offer opportunities to share our practice, our struggles our abilities, and our life experiences with fellow members and teachers. We are not alone, we are connected, we are all Buddha.

If you are new to Buddhism, or just looking for a group of like-minded people with whom to share your practice, a good place to start would be our Sunday afternoon Everyday Dharma Meeting.  Having the mind of a beginner and enthusiastic perseverance are keys to embodying the Buddha’s teachings. Our practice, quality of life, and authentic self are of utmost importance.
